Role Overview

The Assistant Procurement Manager – CAPEX will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring capital equipment, machinery, engineering items, and project-related materials while ensuring cost efficiency, quality compliance, and timely delivery. The role requires strong vendor management, negotiation expertise, and cross-functional coordination with finance, projects, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end CAPEX procurement for equipment, machinery, kitchen equipment, HVAC, electrical, IT hardware, furniture, and project-related materials.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
  • Float RFQs, compare quotes, conduct negotiations, and finalize cost-effective purchase agreements.
  • Review and analyze technical specifications in coordination with engineering & projects team.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery as per project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and track purchase budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and audit standards.
  • Coordinate with accounts for invoice processing, GRN, and payment follow-up.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and monitor vendor performance.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives and alternative sourcing strategies.
  • Work closely with project managers for CAPEX planning and inventory requirements.
  • Perform market research to keep updated on new products, equipment, and pricing trends.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain / Engineering / Commerce or related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in CAPEX / Project Procurement (hospitality/retail/manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of purchase systems, SAP/ERP software.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹360,000.00 - ₹420,000.00 per year
