About the Department
Seattle Pacific University’s Mathematics and Data Science Program is housed in the Technology Division of the College of Business and Technology . Our faculty view mathematics as a holistic endeavor—logical, beautiful, and useful—for majors and for the many students and departments we serve. We are called to teaching excellence, demonstrating mathematics and statistics as languages students can use to understand and model the world. We nurture students from a wide range of backgrounds, uplifting those from underrepresented groups, and we share expertise with the community through research, service, leadership, and individualized care.
The Technology Division offers a B.S. in Data Science and minors in Mathematics and Data Analytics. Mathematics faculty serve programs in science and engineering and contribute to the University’s general education curriculum.
