Are you a proactive, organized professional who takes pride in running a property like a well-oiled machine? We’re seeking an Assistant Property Manager to assist with the day-to-day operations of our growing multifamily portfolio.
Duties
- Oversee property leasing activities, including marketing available units and conducting showings.
- Assist with day-to-day operations of properties, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Maintain positive relationships with tenants through effective communication and conflict management.
- Assist with timely collection of rent and manage tenant accounts using property management software - rent manager.
- Help coordinate property maintenance and repairs, working closely with vendors and maintenance personnel.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance requirements.
- Handle lease negotiations, renewals, and terminations in accordance with landlord-tenant law.
- Provide administrative support including phone etiquette, correspondence, and documentation related to contracts.
Experience
- Proven experience in leasing, property management or real estate administration is essential.
- Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs.
- Strong sales skills with an ability to close lease contracts.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and negotiation techniques.
- Previous experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction.
