Vacancy for Full Time Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Draftsman

Role Description

ARTA Building Contracting LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Draftsman to join our growing team immediately. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and technical drawings for various villa and building projects. This role requires strong technical skills, accuracy, and a proactive attitude to support both the commercial and technical departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Quantity Surveying:

• Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from design drawings and specifications.
• Carry out quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and rate analysis.
• Support in tender preparation, subcontractor comparison, and material cost breakdowns.
• Verify subcontractor invoices and assist in preparing interim payment applications.
• Maintain and update cost records, variation logs, and budget summaries.

Drafting:

• Prepare and update shop drawings, as-built drawings, and details using AutoCAD.
• Modify drawings as per consultant/site instructions and approved revisions.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company and authority standards.
• Coordinate with site and design teams to ensure drawing accuracy.

Coordination & Reporting:

• Work closely with project engineers, site teams, and procurement departments.
• Assist in preparing project progress reports and documentation for client submissions.
• Participate in site measurements and verify actual quantities on-site.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry (villa/building projects preferred).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity take-off software (e.g., Plan Swift, Bluebeam, or similar).
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, BOQ preparation, and measurement methods.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
