Qualificaion & Experience:
Essential:
- BA/BSc/B.Com from any recognized University.
OR
- Any Army retired personnel equivalent to the rank of JCO with procurement experience/ record.
- 2 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in local/ petty purchases.
Desirable:
- Experience in government, educational, or public sector procurement.
- Familiarity with ePADS or similar electronic procurement systems.
- Understanding of audit and financial compliance related to procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage local market and petty procurements in compliance with NUST and PPRA rules.
- Identify and evaluate reliable local vendors for quality, price, and service.
- Obtain competitive quotations and analyze offers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor deliveries for quality, quantity, and adherence to specifications.
- Resolve issues related to discrepancies, delays, or vendor performance.
- Ensure transparency, accountability, and adherence to procurement policies in all purchasing activities.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of NUST/ PPRA procurement rules and procedures.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and record-keeping skills.
Terms & Conditions:
- Candidates are required to attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics / Professional).
- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.
Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations.
- Late / incomplete applications will be ignored.
- Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
