JOB DESCRIPTION : Arts in Action is currently seeking an Assistant Teacher for the Transitional Kindergarten Program. Assistant Teachers support the educational program and assist their assigned teachers and students by working with individual students or small groups and serving as substitute teachers, as well as other support tasks within and outside the classroom.

WAGE AND BENEFITS: This is a full-time, 10-month hourly position for the academic year with the option of summer work. The position is intended for candidates with a BA and the ability to obtain a substitute teaching credential. The hourly starting wage for candidates with a BA and the ability to obtain a substitute teaching credential is $21.00. Pay starts at a higher rate based on experience and the number of educational units/degrees. The full Assistant Teacher pay range is $18.00 - $27.00 an hour based on educational units, duties, lead Assistant Teacher criteria, BAs, and possession or ability to obtain a 30-day substitute teaching credential.
