Assistant Vice President / Senior Associate, Investment Analyst, CIO Office, Private Banking, Consumer Banking Group (WD71156)

Coupled with partnerships within the DBS network and with global institutions, we strive to build long term relationships with our Private Banking clients in Asia by providing them with high quality, timely and extensive wealth management, investment and financial solutions.

The incoming candidate is expected to play an important role in supporting the CIO Office in investment analysis and thematic research, with a particular focus on the equity asset class in an investment portfolio. A good breadth of knowledge across the macro landscape, keen interest in investing/markets, excellent spreadsheet skills, and strong written/verbal communication skills would be strong attributes for the role.

Responsibilities
  • Support the CIO office in producing high quality analysis for regular market updates, investment research and other publications.
  • Provide analytical support for Senior Investment Strategist.
  • Conduct detailed research on new industries/trends that are reshaping the investment world. Author or co author in depth investment research on these industries/trends.
  • Identify actionable investment recommendations within these thematics and gather industry/company data to substantiate these ideas.
  • Liaise with product teams to identify suitable single securities, funds or structured products for trade expressions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Business or Finance with 4 7 years experience.
  • CFA candidate preferred.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters, and Excel preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with keen understanding of and interest in investment analysis and financial markets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to write research reports independently.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
