Assitant General Manager - Designer, Iron Making

Job Requirements

• Preparation of Basic engineering of Mechanical equipment based on contractual requirements and available references.
• Preparation of 3D models
• Preparation of detail manufacturing drawings and bill of material
• Preparation of manuals and engineering documents related to procurement, manufacturing, and inspection.
• Creating, maintaining, and storing drawings and documents related to the equipment and projects according to the engineering processes and guidelines.
• Ensuring adherence to engineering standards.
• Ensuring adherence to contract specifications and requirements.
• Responsible for completing the assignments within the project time schedule and budget.
  
  

Work Experience

Technical Skill and Knowledge – Hands-on experience in the preparation of mechanical drawings and bill of material based on references, Knowledge of machine drawings and related norms, knowledge of materials, machining, welding, fits and tolerances, and heat treatment processes. Knowledge and experience of 2-D drawings in AutoCAD and 3-D modeling preferably in Unigraphics NX, Inventor, and Solid Edge, Knowledge of Indian and International standards (ISO/ DIN / DIN EN / ANSI, etc.)

Soft Skills – Reasonably good in communication and written/spoken English.

IT Skills – Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook

Experience – 15-20 years in Basic and Detail engineering of Steel plant equipment, preferably equipment related to Iron making process e.g., Sinter plant, Pellet Plant, Blast Furnace, and associated Equipment and systems. Hands-on experience in 2D drawing preparation and 3-D modelling. Related site experience of erection and commissioning is desirable. Working experience in project environment with an awareness of contract and timeliness.

Qualification – Diploma (Mechanical engg.) / B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical engg.)

Age – 35 – 40 years
