About the job
The Associate Production Manager supports the product development and sourcing process from design handoff through production, ensuring that each product meets brand standards for quality, cost, and on-time delivery. Working closely with cross-functional teams and global vendors, this role helps execute seasonal strategies, manage product data, and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders. The Associate Production Manager plays a critical role in driving daily execution and supporting the broader sourcing strategy.
What you’ll do
Product Development & Execution

Support the product development and sourcing process from first proto through final production across multiple categories.

Coordinate with Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, Production, agents, and factories to ensure all deliverables meet timeline and quality expectations.

Maintain and update PLM systems to ensure product accuracy, milestone tracking, and data integrity.

Help manage product development calendars, tracking approvals and deadlines to keep teams aligned and accountable.
Cost & Margin Support

Assist in collecting and comparing vendor cost quotations to ensure alignment with margin goals.

Partner with senior sourcing and product development leads on cost engineering opportunities and vendor negotiations.

Track seasonal costing data to identify trends and potential savings.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination

Act as the day-to-day contact for vendors and agents, ensuring timely updates on samples, costs, and production readiness.

Support vendor onboarding, compliance documentation, and performance tracking.

Communicate delivery or quality risks proactively to the sourcing manager or senior leadership.
Compliance & Quality Partnership

Collaborate with Technical Design and Quality teams to ensure all fit, materials, and construction standards meet brand requirements.

Partner with Vendor Compliance and Testing teams to verify all products meet regulatory, safety, and performance standards.

Assist in resolving production issues and maintaining consistency in product quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Design, Merchandising, Logistics, and Finance to align on calendar milestones, delivery timing, and costing accuracy.

Participate in key seasonal meetings and vendor reviews to ensure transparency and readiness.

Support communication flow across teams to enable efficient decision-making.
Data & Reporting

Use PLM and Excel to track seasonal development progress, costs, and vendor KPIs.

Prepare and distribute weekly tracking reports to provide visibility to cross-functional partners.

Support data-driven analysis for cost, delivery, and performance improvements.
Team & Process Support

Provide administrative and operational support to the sourcing and product development teams.

Assist with process documentation, calendar updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with coordinators to ensure sample management, tracking, and system accuracy.
Who you are

3–6 years of experience in apparel sourcing, production, or product development.
-
Strong understanding of the product creation process and global sourcing timelines.

Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Team-oriented with the ability to build positive relationships across functions and with global vendors.

Experience in children’s apparel is a plus

Actual starting pay for this role is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to qualifications, experience, relevant skills, education, and geographic location.
