Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an Associate Software Engineer (Level 1) to join a great team of talented professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, integration and support of software development and software configuration management tools.

Essential Functions:

• Entry-level software engineer, responsible for development, testing and maintenance of software solutions
• Work closely within team to grasp project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
• Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test of embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical equipment
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting and resolving software issue
• Develop software test procedure and relevant technical documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution
• Relevant internships or projects demonstrating practical coding experience
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development tools
• Understanding of basic data structures, algorithms, and database concepts
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Adaptability, quick learning and be able to operate with little supervision
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent writing skills
