Position Overview
The Associate Attorney will manage a caseload of personal injury and/or first-party property damage matters from pre-litigation through resolution. This role requires strong legal analysis, communication, negotiation, case management discipline, and the ability to work in a structured and fast-paced environment. The attorney will collaborate closely with paralegals and support staff while maintaining direct, professional client communication throughout the life of the case.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in various areas of law, including estate planning, environmental law, landlord-tenant law, family law, and personal injury law.
  • Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions with precision and clarity.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in litigation matters and other legal disputes.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases involving securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, and patent law.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation within the law office environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case progress and address any concerns.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of various areas of law including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, personal injury law, securities law, workers' compensation law, and tribal regulations.
  • Proficient in legal research methodologies utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients’ interests.
  • Experience in litigation processes and procedures is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing individual caseloads effectively.
