Award winning general practice law firm based in Central Pennsylvania is looking for an Associate Attorney with a strong desire to learn, a competitive spirit and endless energy. Preferred candidates will have a required minimum of 1-3 years of experience and Pennsylvania Bar membership. Consideration will be given to graduating attorneys with strong academic credentials. The attorneys in our mid-size law firm believe that excellence matters, and are driven to provide exceptional results for our clients in Dauphin/Lebanon/Lancaster/Berks area. This is a full time position with a competitive benefits package including health insurance, life insurance, 401k plan, and paid time off. The right candidate could have an opportunity to grow to a partnership position. Experience preparing briefs and pleadings, taking and defending depositions, and arguing motions in court is preferred. Position requires ability to conduct legal research and discovery, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing demands, responses, motions, summaries, agreements, pleadings and legal correspondence. This position will also require a candidate who is able to work with a demanding caseload, and with a high level of attention to detail.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and memoranda with precision and clarity.
- Assist in managing a variety of cases across practice areas including estate planning, landlord-tenant law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, family law, criminal law, etc.
- Prepare for and participate in negotiations with clients and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Support litigation efforts by organizing case files, preparing discovery requests and responses, and coordinating depositions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting practice areas through continuous research.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their legal needs and provide strategic advice aligned with their goals.
- Support the law office’s administrative functions by maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Pennsylvania state bar and in good standing.
- Proven experience or strong interest in estate planning, environmental law, family law, litigation, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Strong negotiation skills to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
- Legal administrative experience is preferred for managing case files efficiently.
- Exceptional research skills coupled with the ability to analyze complex legal issues independently.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
