Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated, skilled Associate Attorney to join our firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law; particularly family law, estate litigation, and criminal law. This position requires excellent negotiation skills, legal research skills, and the ability to draft legal documents effectively. In addition, courtroom appearances are at least weekly. The Associate Attorney will work closely with the partner and clients to provide comprehensive legal advice and representation while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Duties:

• Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, hearings, trials, and other court proceedings related to family law, criminal defense and probate litigation.
• Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements across multiple practice areas.
• Provide legal counsel in estate matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with senior attorney on complex cases to enhance knowledge and expertise within the firm.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Pennsylvania bar.
• Experience in family law, criminal defense and/or probate litigation preferred, but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.
• Familiarity with Westlaw.
• Ability to multi-task under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
