Associate Attorney - Family Law (Entry Level)/ Post-Bar Clerk

Associate Attorney – Family Law Firm – Irvine (ENTRY LEVEL)

Moshtael Family Law is in search of a reliable, adaptable, and dedicated associate attorney to join our growing team.

NOTE: This position is considered entry level. The firm is also willing to consider a post bar law clerk.

The ideal candidate will be assigned to a legal team where they will receive practical experience and on the job training working on a variety of family law topics including: child support, spousal support, child custody, parenting time, property division, preparing/enforcing marital agreements, trial/deposition preparation, etc.

Job Duties: Upon hire the applicant will learn to:

· Prepare form and written pleadings

· Prepare correspondence to clients, experts, and opposing attorneys

· Meet with clients and experts

· Prepare child and/or spousal support calculation using Xspouse software

· Propound discovery and respond to discovery requests

· Legal research/analysis

· Prepare case memorandums

· Prepare testimony questions for hearings and depositions, as well as opening and closing arguments

· Accurately track time in case management software

Qualifications:

· A license (in good standing) allowing the applicant to practice law in the State of California (or a JD in the event of a post bar law clerk applicant)

· Strong legal writing and research skills

· Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs

· Proficient computer skills using Mac OS and Microsoft Office.

Compensation: Depends upon experience

Pay: $65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
