Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation

Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation – Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation to join their team in the Des Moines Metro.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity where you will earn up to $200,000+ per year, based on your experience. Plus enjoy a generous benefits package.

Some of your responsibilities as Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation include:

• Representing the client in all phases of workers’ compensation litigation
• Managing caseloads from beginning to end
• Drafting legal documents
• Negotiating settlements and settlement contracts
• Gathering and analyzing evidence
• Conducting legal research
• Attending court hearings, depositions and other proceedings
• Communicating effectively with clients, claims professionals and other parties involved in the case

To qualify, you must have:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• 7-10+ years of experience as workers’ compensation attorney
• Proven track record of success
• Active bar membership in Iowa
• Deep understanding of Iowa workers’ compensation laws and procedures
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Strong legal research, writing and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent attention to details
