Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. The Associate Dentist will be responsible for delivering general dentistry services, including restorative, cosmetic, pediatric, and surgical procedures, with a focus on patient care and comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments using dental terminology and medical documentation standards
  • Diagnose dental conditions through clinical evaluation and medical imaging techniques
  • Provide a wide range of dental treatments including root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery
  • Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
  • Maintain infection control protocols following HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and explain procedures clearly using appropriate medical terminology
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient care delivery and uphold the practice’s standards of excellence

Experience

  • Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment is required
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures
  • Familiarity with dental fabrication techniques and medical imaging technology
  • Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other complex procedures with precision
  • Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus for serving diverse patient populations
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and medical terminology necessary for accurate documentation and patient safety
  • Prior experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems and understanding of HIPAA compliance is essential
