Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate General Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using medical imaging and dental terminology.
- Deliver a wide range of dental services such as general dentistry, root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Create treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, explaining procedures clearly and ensuring informed consent.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
- Operate dental equipment and fabrication tools for procedures requiring dental fabrication or prosthodontic work.
- Collaborate with team members utilizing systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Open Dental for scheduling, documentation, and patient management.
- Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and other specialties to provide comprehensive care.
Experience
- Valid dental license with active practice credentials.
- Proven experience in general dentistry within a clinical or dental office setting; experience in dental clinic environments is preferred.
- Proficiency with dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Open Dental or Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience performing dental procedures including root canal therapy, extractions, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral health care.
- Strong understanding of infection control standards and sterilization procedures in accordance with industry guidelines.
