Associate - General Liability

The Long Island Office in Huntington, NY looking for an Associate to join our growing team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage an individual caseload defending cases from inception through trial
• Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery
• Take and defend depositions of party and non-party witnesses
• Draft and argue discovery and dispositive motions

Position Requirements:

• Must have a JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and maintain an active license in good standing in New York.
• Licensed and practiced law for 4-6 years with 3 years focused in New York General Liability and/or Personal Injury required.
• Appellate experience required.
• Licensed to also practice in New Jersey preferred.
• Prior remote work experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
• Must be a self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills with the ability to work as a team member in a high-volume fast paced work environment.

This is a hybrid position.

The salary rage for this position is $130,000-$160,000 and represents C&W’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend upon a number of factors, included but not limited to experience and qualifications.
