We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineers to join our product development team. The ideal candidates should have a solid foundation in mechanical design principles and hands-on experience (academic or professional) with SOLIDWORKS, product development, prototyping, and manufacturing processes. You will be involved in the complete product lifecycle — from concept design and simulation to testing and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop 3D and 2D mechanical components and assemblies using SOLIDWORKS.
- Participate in product development, including concept generation, design optimization, and validation.
- Create and manage detailed drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Apply principles of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) in all designs.
- Conduct tolerance analysis, apply fits and GD&T to ensure functional, economical and manufacturable designs.
- Prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical components and systems.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams for CNC machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Perform basic FEA/simulation and assist in evaluating product performance under real-world conditions.
- Research suitable materials, manufacturing processes, and cost-effective design improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product quality, performance, and reliability.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (electronics, optics, software) for integrated product development.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
- Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, manufacturing processes, and assembly methods.
- Knowledge of CNC machining, basic G-code understanding, and rapid prototyping techniques.
- Familiarity with GD&T, fits and tolerances, and engineering standards.
- Awareness of simulation tools (FEA, motion analysis) and design optimization techniques on SOLIDWORKS or ANSYS.
- Good understanding of materials (metals, plastics, rubbers, composites) and surface treatments.
- Understanding of sealing techniques, including O-rings, gaskets, and adhesives used in IP-rated enclosures.
- Basic understanding of product testing, validation, and quality control methods.
