Elevate customer satisfaction as the primary liaison for quality and service.

Reduce waste and improve throughput by implementing continuous improvement in safety, labor utilization, and efficiency.

Advance a problem-solving culture through coaching, accountability, and training.

Ensure around-the-clock operational stability with strong internal and external communications, 24 hours a day as needed.

Collaborate with Plant Manager, HR, production planning, and corporate teams to align people, plans, and performance.

Champion safety—ensure teams have the right tools and information; institute procedures that drive hazards toward zero.

Own quality systems and SPC; investigate and resolve quality issues to root cause.

Review reports and requests to protect quality and cost-effectiveness; act decisively.

Control costs, including overtime, while supporting labor absorption targets.

Partner on personnel matters and employee relations with the Plant Manager & HR.

Develop and deliver training and safety programs that enable continuous improvement.

Coordinate schedules and staffing with production planning to meet demand.

Work closely with corporate on planning and support strategic customer projects.

Directly supervise plant personnel; develop employees for future advancement.

Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Associate’s degree or a track record of progressive leadership success in the packaging industry.

5+ years of manufacturing management in a high-volume operation.

Proven implementation of manufacturing improvement methodologies.

Experience leading a self-directed workforce.
Manufacturing environment with moving machinery and noise; frequent use of computer, cell phone, and printer/fax. Hearing protection and other PPE are required. Temperatures can range from extreme cold (<40 degrees) to extreme heat (>90 degrees). Air may contain fumes, dust, and odors. Expect regular standing, walking, manual dexterity, speaking, and hearing; frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; frequent lifting and moving up to 20 pounds; and vision needs including close and distance vision and color recognition.
