Associate Professor – CSE (Data Science) Engineering College

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and research-oriented Associate Professor in Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science) to join our Engineering College in Ballari. The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials, proven research output, and the ability to mentor students in Data Science, AI, ML, and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Data Analytics, Deep Learning, and related areas.
• Guide students in projects, mini-projects, internships, and research work.
• Publish high-quality research papers in reputed journals/conferences (SCI/Scopus).
• Develop curriculum content, laboratory sessions, and innovative teaching methods.
• Engage in funded research, consultancy work, and interdisciplinary projects.
• Participate actively in departmental and institute-level academic activities.
• Mentor junior faculty and support departmental growth and accreditation processes (NBA/NAAC).
• Contribute to organizing workshops, seminars, FDPs, and student development programs.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in CSE / Data Science / Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (Mandatory).
• M.Tech/M.E. in CSE / Data Science / AI/ML / Relevant Specialization with strong academic record.
• Minimum 8 years of teaching/research/industry experience, including at least 3 years as Assistant Professor after Ph.D.
• Proven research publications in SCI/Scopus indexed journals.
• Experience in supervising student projects/research is preferred.

Skills & Expertise

• Strong knowledge of Data Science tools and technologies, including Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hadoop, Spark, SQL/NoSQL, Power BI/Tableau.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to guide research scholars and produce quality publications.
• Commitment to academic excellence, student mentoring, and institutional development.

Salary

• Attractive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
