Our mission is to develop curative genome editing treatments that can positively transform the lives of people living with severe and life-threatening diseases.
Beyond our science, we live our four core values: One, Explore, Disrupt, Deliver and feel strongly that you can achieve more at Intellia. We have a single-minded determination to excel and succeed together. We believe in the power of curiosity and pushing boundaries. We welcome challenging thoughts and imagination to develop innovative solutions. And we know that patients are counting on us to make the promise a reality, so we must maintain high standards and get it done.
We want all of our people to go beyond what is possible. We aren’t constrained by typical end rails, and we aren’t out to just “treat” people. We’re all in this for something more. We’re driven to cure and motivated for change. Just imagine the possibilities of what we can do together.

How you will Achieve More with Intellia:
The successful candidate will be responsible for laboratory activities related to the research and development of CRISPR/Cas9 genome edited and mRNA-CAR T cell therapies for oncology and autoimmune disorders. You will work alongside teammates to execute experiments to assess and optimize delivery of cargo to immune cells and test for functionality in vitro and in vivo. Perform in-vitro assays to quantify cargo delivery to T-cells and perform immunoassays (cytotoxicity and cytokine release) to evaluate potency and specificity of engineered T cells. The candidate will support the team by performing in-vivo studies using murine models to evaluate therapeutic efficacy. Collaborative skills will be instrumental to work within a matrixed organization to improve understanding of CAR T cell, mRNA, and LNP biology.
About You:
This position requires a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Bioengineering, Medical Biotechnology, or a directly related field and at least two years of laboratory experience in industry. Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree plus at least four years of laboratory experience in industry will be considered.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have laboratory experience in these areas:
-
Experience culturing and manipulation of human T cells or PBMCs
-
Experience with multi-color flow cytometry of T cells with up to 6 markers
-
Experience with in-vitro T cell assays including cytokine quantification (ELISA or MSD), and cell-based cytotoxicity assays with tumor cell lines.
-
Animal handling experience, including i.v., i.p. and s.c. injections and animal model development.
-
