AVP, Human Resources, Millennium


The AVP, Human Resources will serve as the HR POC for the business unit, partnering directly with the CEO and the executive leadership team. This role will act as a strategic business partner and consultant to leadership and employees, aligning people initiatives with business objectives. This role will support the Millennium business by leading the development and execution of enterprise-wide HR programs, policies, and initiatives in areas such as strategy, culture, employee relations, talent management, talent acquisition, change management, performance management, organizational development, and total rewards in partnership with Mosaic HR Centers of Excellence. The AVP serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing business decisions through data-driven insights and fostering a culture of excellence, engagement, and continuous improvement. Ensuring alignment of HR strategies with organizational objectives and key initiatives. Additionally, this role manages and mentors HR business partners and HR teams, promoting professional growth and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive HR strategies and programs that align with organizational goals and support business unit objectives.
  • Provide strategic consultation and partnership to senior leadership and business unit leaders on strategies including workforce planning, talent management, organizational design, succession planning, and culture transformation.
  • Provide data-driven insights to solve problems and drive business outcomes.
  • Partner with the HR leadership team on planning and delivering HR solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executives on people and organizational issues.
  • Partner and drive enterprise-wide talent acquisition, onboarding, training, development, and retention initiatives, ensuring alignment with business needs and inclusion goals.
  • Lead, direct, and mentor a team of HR business partners and HR professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and enhancing their capabilities to meet evolving organizational demands.
  • Lead organizational assessments and change management efforts for large-scale transformation projects, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and alignment across all levels.
  • Establish and monitor key HR metrics and analytics to assess organizational health, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations that drive business outcomes.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
  • Develop and support HR policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating organizational risk.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other Mosaic HR functions to ensure consistent and effective HR practices across the enterprise.
  • Represent the HR function in executive meetings, regional leadership forums, and external partnerships, advocating for HR strategies that support business objectives and enhance employer brand.
  • Oversee and partner on HR budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships within the HR function.
  • Support initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions, particularly in integrating HR practices and culture into the broader organizational portfolio.
  • Demonstrate excellent service to internal executives, peers, team members, and patients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably within healthcare or a large complex organization.
  • Advanced HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing enterprise-wide HR strategies, managing HR teams, and influencing senior leadership.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, regulatory compliance, and risk management, particularly in healthcare settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze HR data and metrics to inform strategic decision-making and improve organizational performance.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and financial considerations.
  • Expertise in change management, organizational development, and workforce planning.
  • Experience managing HR budgets, policies, and vendor relationships.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% to support business units and organizational initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment while leading teams and driving results.
