We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will support senior attorneys in a broad range of matters, including estate planning and business transactions for closely held business entities. This is an excellent opportunity for a new or early-career attorney to gain hands-on experience and grow within a collaborative, client-focused firm.

Compensation:

$140,000 - $180,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

Estate Planning:

  • Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and related documents.
  • Assist with trust and probate administration, including:
  • Preparing court filings and legal notices.
  • Managing and distributing estate/trust assets.
  • Coordinating with fiduciaries, beneficiaries, accountants, and financial institutions.
  • Preparing accounts, inventories, and related documents.
  • Business Transactions.
  • Entity formation (LLCs, corporations, partnerships) and ongoing corporate governance.
  • Draft and negotiate operating agreements, bylaws, shareholder and buy-sell agreements.
  • Assist with business sales, asset purchases, and contract review.
  • Conduct due diligence and help manage closing checklists for transactions.
  • General.
  • Conduct legal research and provide summaries or recommendations.
  • Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in client meetings, signings, and strategic planning with senior attorneys.
Qualifications:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed (or pending bar admission) in California.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in trusts and estates and/or business law.
  • Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and discretion.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with estate planning or business law software is a plus.
