House Worker Center, a growing organization dedicated to defending labor rights and protecting the immigrant community, is seeking attorneys to join a committed, dynamic, and rapidly expanding national team.
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney / Abogado(a) to join our legal team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual skills are not required; however, English–Spanish proficiency is a strong plus.
- Prior specialization is not mandatory, though the following experience will be highly valued:
– Immigration law
– Workers’ compensation / personal injury cases
– Labor law, wrongful termination, and worker rights violations

Duties:
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients across diverse practice areas
- Conduct comprehensive legal research
- Draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity.
- Assist in case management by organizing case files and maintaining accurate records within the organization
- Negotiate settlements and legal terms on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Represent clients in court proceedings or administrative hearings when necessary.
- Stay updated on current laws and regulations relevant to various practice areas to ensure compliance and effective legal counsel.
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases requiring specialized knowledge in multiple legal fields.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the bar is required.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues efficiently.
- Strong writing skills for drafting clear and effective legal documents.
- Demonstrated negotiation abilities to facilitate settlements and client advocacy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team within a busy legal organization environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all work products.
