As an Auto Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles. You will work on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to ensure that vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Your role is critical in providing high-quality service to our customers and maintaining the reputation of our service center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and Repair Vehicles: Identify and troubleshoot issues with vehicles, including engine performance, braking systems, transmissions, and other critical components. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems.
- Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements to ensure vehicles remain in optimal condition.
- Replace and Repair Parts: Install new parts, such as brake pads, batteries, and filters. Repair or rebuild damaged components and systems as needed.
- Conduct Inspections: Perform thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
- Maintain Records: Document all service and repair work accurately, including parts used, labor hours, and any additional findings. Update vehicle service history as required.
- Customer Communication: Explain technical issues and repair recommendations to customers in a clear and understandable manner. Provide cost estimates and discuss repair options.
- Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Keep Work Area Organized: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are in good condition and properly stored.
- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques. Attend training sessions and workshops as needed.
