AutoCAD Design Engineer || ELV System

Job Title: Auto CAD Engineer Building Systems (MEP/ELV)
Location: Hyderabad/Bangalore
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: SENIOR DESIGN MANAGER
Experience Required: 2 to 4 Years
Annual CTC: 3 to 6 Lakhs

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Drafting: Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings, schematics, layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and general arrangement drawings (GADs) for MEP and ELV systems.
• System Expertise: Develop designs for a wide range of ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarms, public address (PA), building management systems (BMS), data & telecommunications, and structured cabling.
• Coordination: Coordinate ELV and MEP designs with architectural, structural, and interior design teams to prevent clashes and ensure seamless integration of all building services.
• Technical Documentation: Create and manage all project documentation, including drawing lists, schedules, material take-offs (MTOs), and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Compliance &Standards: Ensure all designs and drawings comply with local and international codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA, BICSI, local authority requirements).
• Collaboration and Support: Liaise with design teams, clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely project deliverables and resolve technical issues during design and construction phases.
• Quality Control: Review and update drawings based on site conditions, redline markups, and project changes, performing quality checks to ensure accuracy.
• Site Involvement: Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather necessary data, and provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field is typically required.
• Experience: Relevant hands-on experience (typically 2-5 years) in AutoCAD design within the ELV/MEP domain.
• Software Proficiency:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (AutoCAD 3D is a plus).
• Familiarity with other design tools like Revit/BIM, Navisworks, and MS Office is a significant advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ELV and MEP systems components and design principles (e.g., power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, access control).
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, good communication (written and verbal), time management, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Industry Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and other engineering drawings and specifications.
