Overview - Structural Engineering Designer AutoCad - Field Experience a plus!

Key Responsibilities

  • Create structural design drawings and models in CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD required; Revit knowledge a plus).
  • Turn engineering and code requirements into accurate construction documents.
  • Work with engineers to ensure designs meet codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Update drawings and clients as projects progress or changes occur.
  • Keep project files and documentation organized.
  • Communicate with owners, clients, builders, architects, and other project stakeholders to clarify design intent and progress.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Skilled in AutoCAD; Revit experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of structural systems, construction methods, and building codes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines on multiple projects.
  • Experience with steel, concrete, wood, and/or masonry design.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling and rendering tools.
  • Understanding of local building codes and industry standards.
  • Ability to ensure compliance through site visits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

  • Have you worked with PTI or WRI? If yes, rate your experience on a scale from 1 to 5, where 1 indicates minimal experience and 5 indicates top-level expertise.

  • Do you possess the ability to produce foundation and framing drawings in AutoCAD or Revit for residential or commercial plan sets.
