AutoCAD Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Technician to join our low voltage systems company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and updating low voltage system drawings and designs such as fire alarm, security, A/V, and data cabling using AutoCAD software. The AutoCAD Technician will work closely with our Estimating team, Project Managers, and clients to ensure that drawings are accurate, complete, and meet all necessary specifications. The successful candidate will also have a strong focus on submittals and closeouts.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare submittal packages for the project engineer's review and approval.
• Create and modify drawings and designs for low voltage systems using AutoCAD software.
• Work with the estimating team, project managers, and clients to ensure that submittal books and drawings are accurate and meet all necessary specifications.
• Ensure that submittal books and drawings are completed on time and within budget.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all submittals, drawings, and designs.
• Update existing drawings to reflect changes in design or specifications.
• Prepare detailed plans and layouts for construction projects.
• Perform quality control checks on all completed drawings and submittal books.
• Create closeout packages for submission to the end user at the conclusion of each project.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, PDF editing software, and AutoCAD software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
