Automatic / Electrical Door Technician

Job Description:

Skodtec Elevators LLC is seeking a skilled Automatic / Electrical Door Technician / Installer to join our technical team in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in installing, maintaining and troubleshooting various types of automatic door systems. The role involves working on residential, commercial and industrial projects, ensuring high-quality installation and reliable performance of all door automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain and repair automatic sliding doors, swing doors, revolving doors, shutters, sectional doors, and elevator door systems.
• Perform installation and servicing of sliding door operators, including wiring, calibration, and alignment.
• Install and configure radar sensors, safety sensors, and door activation systems.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in automated door systems and provide effective solutions.
• Program motors and controllers, ensuring correct setup for different types of automatic doors.
• Install motors and automation units in the correct position according to door type and manufacturer standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals accurately.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and performance.
• Provide on-site technical support, respond to service calls, and ensure timely job completion.
• Prepare service reports, installation documentation, and maintain records for all assigned tasks.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an automatic door technician or in a similar technical role.
• Practical experience in installation and maintenance of sliding glass doors, swing doors, and revolving doors.
• Experience in installing radar sensors, safety sensors, and access control systems.
• Ability to program motors and install motor units for different automatic door types.
• Good understanding of electrical wiring, sensors, motors and door control systems.
• Ability to work independently and handle on-site tasks efficiently.
