Accountable for creation, maintenance, and enhancement of all automation testing artefacts for assigned project(s). b. Embedding the automation suite into the SDLC and effectively managing and communicating the results.2.Responsibilities & Accountabilitiesa. Acts as a role model for individuals and team members, setting a standard, acting professionally at all times and working to a professional code of conduct and ethics. Supporting and fostering the QA community across BSI.b. Ensure automation adheres to BSI QA policy and strategic goalsc. Provides specialist advice, guidance and assistance to colleagues on any aspect of test automation, planning and execution. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in our test automation.d. Ensures that any risks associated with test strategy and test plans are clearly documented and reported to the stakeholders, in accordance with organisational processese. Responsible for drafting test plans, providing estimate, prioritizing, and coordinating automation testing efforts.f. Specifies requirements for environment, data, resources and tools to ensure efficient and effective use of automation tests.h. Responsibility for creating, updating and executing automation tests in line with release, infrastructure or environment changes. Reviewing and reporting test results appropriately with stakeholders. Records explicit details of failing test cases in the defect register, such that project or service teams can understand and reproduce issues found. i. Actively engage with engineers at all stages of development, continuous delivery, and operations to embed test automation and ensure quality of the delivery process, engineering standards and compliance with non-functional business requirements.j. Actively contribute to defining functional and non-functional requirements, the definition of done and acceptance criteria in close collaboration with Product Managers and Business Analysts.k. Ensures the quality of all QA artefacts, activities and deliverables meets organisational standardsl. Proactively understand roadmaps and backlogs to ensure automation solutions are always up to datem. Has excellent awareness of the role of software testing in the development lifecycle.n.
