Job Description

Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. this means the successful candidate to report to the GM office full time.

The Role:

As Automation Lead you will be responsible for managing all new project automation in the Plant as well as managing all Error proofing activities. In this role you will also be responsible for managing EP PCP & Release, manage and control Manufacturing Systems (SAP, GEPICS, MERS) and Plant cybersecurity systems management.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for Managing any new updates/Changes in PLC Programs

  • Responsible to manage and control Safety PLC (Password owner)

  • Lead New launches/Projects automation requirements

  • Work with IT on new projects requirements/Milestones

  • Manage and control Manufacturing Systems and software (SAP, GEPICS, MERS)

  • Manage model year change activities on all systems

  • Responsible for developing, introducing concept through ensuring effective implementation BIQ statements (PCP release and Gap closure of PFMEA)

  • Manage and control Traceability PCP and control through GM Systems

  • Provide technical assistance for PLC/Automation/ EOL

  • Support EFTQ target and issues problem solving

  • Plant cybersecurity systems control

  • ME Managed PCs control

New Automation Projects:

  • Initiate projects scope and ideas for SPQRCE improvement

  • Create Project charter for the current and proposed projects

  • Create Detailed Project Statement of Requirements for suppliers complying with GCCL, GCCH and automation standards

  • Detailed Technical review and design approval for automation project technical approval

  • Project Time management through PM systems

  • Project milestones revision and regular follow up

  • Projects presentation in GM Local and global reviews

  • Project Resources management through all project time from initiation till closure

  • Project Risk management with detailed risk control plan

  • Project Budget management (CAPEX/OPEX), planning, spending as well as financial reporting

  • Implement manufacturing systems qualifications in projects technical phases

  • Project execution management with stakeholder and communication management

  • Project buyoff, commissioning, and capitalization

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualification)


Education/Experience :

  • B.Sc degree in Mechatronics/ Automation/ Electrical Engineering or Computer science

  • Experience: 5 ~ 7 years of experience in same field

  • Previous experience with AB PLCs

Skills

  • Solid background for RSLogix 5000 & Studio 5000

  • Excellent Technical skills in Automation and electrical systems
