Automation Testing Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Testing Engineer with 5-8 years of expertise in software testing using Python/Advanced Python. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies, with hands-on experience in web application and REST API testing. This role requires working in an Agile and DevOps environment, ensuring high-quality deliverables with a “First Time Right” approach

Key Responsibilities:1. Automation Testing:

○ Develop and maintain Automation test scripts for web applications and REST APIs using Python Selenium/Playwright.

○ Translate Gherkin/Cucumber feature files into executable automated tests.

○ Leverage the Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) approach for software development and testing.

2. Quality Assurance:

○ Apply strong knowledge of software testing principles, practices, and tools.

○ Prepare and maintain detailed documentation as part of the delivery process.

○ Ensure the code follows PEP8 standards and is fully optimized.

○ Adhere to solid design principles of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.

3. Tools and Technologies:

○ Work with tools like Jenkins, GIT, Bitbucket, Docker, JIRA, and Confluence for CI/CD, version control, embedded Systems and project tracking.

○ Utilize Linux, KVM, and open-source systems in testing workflows.

4. Collaboration and Ownership:

○ Actively interact and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including developers, product owners, and business analysts.

○ Take complete ownership of deliverables, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.

5. Agile and DevOps Environment:

○ Operate effectively within Agile and DevOps frameworks, contributing to continuous improvement and delivery cycles.

Requirements:Required Skills and Qualifications:

● Experience: 5-8 years of experience in Automation testing with Python/Advanced Python.

● Testing Expertise: Proficiency in web application and REST API testing.

● Tools and Systems: Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GIT, Bitbucket, Docker, JIRA, Confluence, Linux, Embedded Systems and KVM.

● BDD Knowledge: Understanding of the Behavioral Driven Development approach.

● Documentation: Strong attention to detail with an ability to produce clear and comprehensive documentation.

● Coding Standards: Familiarity with PEP8 standards and solid design principles of OOP.

● Certifications: ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a plus.

● Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong interest in Software Quality Assurance.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,300,000.00 per year
