What You’ll Be Doing:
- Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including electrical systems, powertrain, transmissions, and diesel engines.
- Utilize schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and hand tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as alignments, wheel balancing, and general mechanical repairs.
- Repair or replace components using power tools and welding equipment as needed.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Assist in training junior technicians and providing technical guidance when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed using auto estimating software.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair needs and timelines.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including ADAS systems and electrical systems.
What You'll Bring with You:
- 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry (store management experience preferred)
- Proven experience as a Lead Service Technician or Master Technician.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain, transmissions, and vehicle maintenance.
- Proficiency with schematics, automotive repair tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Experience with GM vehicles and diesel engine repair preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- ASE certifications or equivalent are highly desirable.
