Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Avionics Engineer to join our Avionics team and drive the development and production of next-generation UAVs. Reporting to the Avionics Systems Director, you will lead avionics architecture design, harness design, manage project workflows, produce manufacturing documentation, supervise technicians, and support R&D efforts. This role is perfect for a hands-on professional who excels in a fast-paced startup environment and is ready to take ownership of critical avionics processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop avionics architecture for new UAV models, ensuring seamless integration with embedded systems and hardware.
• Plan, follow, and manage the avionics aspects of projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.
• Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation for current and new UAV models, including assembly guides, BOMs, and process flows.
• Supervise avionics assembly technicians in collaboration with the manufacturing team leader to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Assist in PCB design, electronics engineering, and R&D prototyping, including hands-on tasks like PCB assembly and circuit integration.
• Oversee R&D technicians’ work to maintain high standards in prototyping and testing.
• Collaborate with the team to drive innovative, record-breaking UAV advancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in avionics, electronics, or UAV-related engineering.
• Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad) and electronics prototyping.
• Experience in creating manufacturing documentation and optimizing production processes.
• Strong supervisory and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead technicians in a workshop setting.
• Knowledge of UAV systems, embedded hardware/software, and relevant standards (e.g., DO-178C).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a startup-like environment.
• Fluency in English; Turkish proficiency is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in project management, including planning and tracking avionics-related projects.

Familiarity with procurement processes, such as sourcing components for avionics systems.
