Position Overview:
As a AVP of Workforce Integration and Partnerships at Galen College of Nursing, you will serve as a strategic leader and liaison between Galen College of Nursing and HCA Healthcare and other partners to strengthen academic-practice collaboration, optimize clinical education experiences, and improve graduate success rates. This role ensures alignment with workforce needs, advancing the shared mission to prepare practice-ready nurses and increase employment of Galen graduates within HCA Healthcare and other partner facilities. The AVP will lead Practice and Workforce Integration Partnership (Academic Practice Partnership) meetings, coordinate joint initiatives, and analyze student success data to inform strategy and performance improvement. The position supports a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation that enhances the student experience and HCA’s nursing workforce pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:

Build and sustain strategic alliances between Galen College of Nursing and HCA Healthcare to advance workforce development and student success initiatives.

Serve as the lead facilitator for Academic Practice Partnership (APP) meetings with HCA division, facility, and academic leadership.
- Partner with division AVPs of Academic Affairs and Academic Partnership leaders to optimize student placement, externships, and transition-to-practice models.
- Foster a service-excellence culture across all partnership activities.
- Promote consistent and professional communication among stakeholders to enhance the student and faculty experience.
- Represent Galen in HCA division and partner facility’s advisory boards, councils, and workforce committees.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with academic and clinical leaders across all organizations.
- Collaborate with faculty, preceptors, and clinical teams to ensure high-quality learning experiences in clinicals to improve success rate.
- Partner with HCA nursing leadership to develop initiatives supporting student engagement, readiness, and retention.
- Expand and strengthen academic-practice partnerships across HCA divisions and Galen campuses.
- Develop dashboards and performance metrics to demonstrate partnership effectiveness and ROI.
- Collaborate with marketing and enrollment teams to highlight partnership success stories and promote nursing career pathways.
- Track and report key metrics related to partnership outcomes and student success rates.
- Participate in annual budgeting for academic-practice initiatives. Identify and implement cost-effective strategies for partnership engagement
Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, or Healthcare Administration, Doctoral degree preferred

Licensure: Registered Nurse (active, unencumbered, compact or state-specific)

Experience: 5+ years progressive leadership experience in academic or healthcare settings. Experience with HCA Healthcare or large health system partnerships preferred.

Skills: Relationship management, data analysis, strategic planning, facilitation, and communication. Familiarity with Power BI or similar data reporting tools preferred.
