Role: AWS Infrastructure Engineer

We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our scalable, secure, and compliant cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support our innovative SaaS platform. You should possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, working in a fast-paced agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an AWS Infrastructure Engineer, your role will involve a mix of strategic design, hands-on implementation, and operational excellence:

Design and Management: Design, deploy, and manage robust AWS cloud infrastructure architecture, ensuring high availability, performance, and fault tolerance.

Security & Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST) and implement comprehensive security best practices, including robust access controls, encryption, and data protection.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and maintain our infrastructure using Terraform to support multi-tenancy requirements for the SaaS platform.

Automation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, testing, and scaling, enabling rapid, reliable delivery.

Cost Optimization: Proactively manage and optimize costs related to cloud resources without compromising performance or security.

Operations: Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot system infrastructure, resolving technical issues quickly and efficiently.

Database Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of various database systems, including RDS/Postgres, DocumentDB, and Vector Databases.

Required Technical Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years of industry experience in software development, with significant time spent in cloud infrastructure and DevOps areas.

AWS Services: Deep expertise in core AWS services, including Networking (VPC, Transit Gateway), IAM, S3, SNS, and Compute (Fargate, ECS, EKS).

IaC: Proven experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure at scale.

Containerization: Strong knowledge of container orchestration using ECS and EKS.

DevOps Tools: Proficiency with GitHub for version control and CI/CD practices.

Scripting: Competency in Shell Scripting for automation and administrative tasks.

Data/ML Services: Familiarity with AI/ML studios from major LLM providers and AWS Bedrock is a significant plus.

Database Management: Experience administering and managing relational (RDS/Postgres) and NoSQL/specialized databases (DocumentDB, Vector Databases).

Security: Solid understanding of cloud security principles and regulatory compliance standards, particularly HIPAA.

AI Development Studios: Experience using the latest AI-assisted software development IDEs like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.
