Backend Developer (Node.js / FinTech)

We’re looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer with strong experience in Node.js and FinTech/payment integrations to join our development team.
You’ll be responsible for building secure, scalable APIs, managing data flow between systems, and integrating payment and KYC services in collaboration with the technical lead and mobile development team.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js (Express or NestJS).
• Integrate and manage payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) including webhooks, transfers, and payouts.
• Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases for data persistence and high performance.
• Implement authentication and authorization (JWT/OAuth2) and enforce data security best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to define API contracts and ensure reliable integrations.
• Develop and maintain backend modules for KYC, user management, and transaction processing.
• Handle webhooks, event processing, and retry/idempotency mechanisms.
• Optimize server performance, monitor logs, and ensure uptime and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Proven experience with payment gateway integration (preferably Stripe Connect).
• Experience working with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS / GCP) and deployment pipelines.
• Strong understanding of security, encryption, and compliance in data handling.
• Experience building and managing KYC or FinTech-related APIs is a strong plus.
• Proficiency with Git, Agile workflows, and CI/CD tools.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GraphQL, NestJS, or microservices architecture.
• Exposure to containerization (Docker) and serverless frameworks.
• Knowledge of message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.) for async event handling.
• Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.
