Backend Engineer - Java

About The Role

Were looking for an experienced Backend Engineer (Java) to join our dynamic product team and drive the development of Zinggs open-source and enterprise solutions. Youll work with cutting-edge technologies like Apache Spark, Snowpark, ML, and LLMs to build scalable, high-performance systems that delight users and solve complex data Responsibilities :

• Design and develop robust, maintainable, and scalable backend systems using Java-based Object-Oriented principles.
• Contribute to new feature development for Zinggs open-source and enterprise offerings.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues efficiently.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate based on user and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile, DevOps-oriented environment.
• Maintain strong code quality, test coverage, and software design best practices.
• Handle user queries, feedback, and contribute to open-source discussions.
  
  

Requirements

• 26 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer (preferably 46 years).
• Strong hands-on expertise with Java 8+ and/or Scala.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience in distributed systems, cloud architecture, and Docker.
• Exposure to Apache Spark and Snowflake APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced, collaborative teams.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  
  

Good To Have

• Experience in a Product-based company.
• Graduate/Postgraduate from a Tier-1 Engineering College.
• M.Tech in Computer Science or Mathematics.
• Familiarity with design patterns, modular architectures, and software engineering best practices.
