Key Responsibilities: Backup Management: o Manage and monitor daily backup jobs to ensure all systems, databases, and applications are backed up as per defined schedules. o Administer backup software and tools to ensure data is being backed up correctly and securely. o Ensure backup operations are completed successfully without errors, and address any failures or issues in a timely manner. Data Recovery: o Perform data restores as requested and verify the integrity of restored data. o Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning by maintaining and testing backup and restore procedures. Backup Infrastructure Management: o Administer and maintain backup storage solutions (e.g., tapes, disks, cloud storage). o Monitor storage capacity and recommend improvements to backup infrastructure. Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain documentation on backup procedures, schedules, and configurations. o Generate and analyze backup reports to identify trends, failures, or areas for improvement. Security and Compliance: o Ensure that backup data is securely encrypted and protected against unauthorized access. o Maintain compliance with relevant data protection laws and organizational policies related to backup and retention. Collaboration and Support: o Collaborate with other IT teams to understand backup requirements for new systems, applications, or projects. o Provide technical support for backup-related issues, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related backup problems. Continuous Improvement: o Stay updated with new backup technologies and best practices. o Suggest improvements to optimize backup processes, reduce backup windows, and ensure efficient use of storage resources. Qualifications: Education: o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience: Proven experience in managing backup systems and solutions. o Experience with popular backup software tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Veritas, Acronis). o Familiarity with cloud backup solutions and storage systems. Skills: o Strong troubleshooting skills related to backup failures, hardware issues, and recovery operations. o Basic understanding of networking, storage, and server infrastructure. o Knowledge of backup strategies, including full, incremental, differential, and continuous data protection. Certifications (optional but preferred): o Backup-related certifications such as Veeam Certified Engineer, Commvault Certified, or similar certifications are a plus. Desired Attributes: Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to continuously learn and adopt new technologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
