Baker @Night Shift

Our bakers lend their years of experience in French Viennese and Italian baking to their repertoire of delectable and beautiful desserts. Our company is currently seeking a Baker/Mixer to join our team.

The baker will be responsible for the baking of all the specialty cake orders as requested by customers (e.g., special occasion cakes, party platters, etc.). This is a night shift job from 10pm to 6am

Responsibilities

• Produce our entire line of baked goods: quality cakes, cupcakes, cookies, biscotti and any other production items as delegated by a manager
• Ensure exceptional product by following recipes, understanding prep procedures, and maintaining raw materials quality
• Make sure our baked goods are baked according to L'estis Desserts product standards
• Keep up with pace of incoming orders
• Avoid overproduction during slow business weeks
• Understand proper use of all equipment: ovens, mixers, sheeters, scales, walk-in, and freezer
• Maintain a clean production area
• Prepare special orders to ensure customer specifications are met
• Ensure operations are in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Take specialty cake orders as requested by customers (e.g., special occasion cakes, party platters, etc.)
• Perform other duties as directed by a manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years Baking/Decorating experience or a Culinary Program Degree
• Ability to work well in a busy environment-fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (8+ hours a day)
• Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays (according to customer demand)
