Bakery Assistant

We are looking for a skilled and creative Cake Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in baking sponge cakes, layered cakes, and a variety of desserts, along with a passion for quality and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts according to recipes and design specifications.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
• Collaborate with the cake decorator/designer to achieve high-quality finished products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the baking area.
• Manage ingredient inventory and report shortages.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Occasionally assist with decorating and packaging when needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a cake baker or pastry chef (experience in Dubai preferred).
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in:
• Mixing and baking sponge and chiffon cakes
• Leveling, layering, and filling cakes
• Baking consistency and oven temperature control
• Using buttercream, ganache, and other frostings
• Handling mousse and cream fillings
• Basic sugar syrup preparation and soaking methods
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and ensure product consistency.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Passion for creativity and presentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,700.00 per month
