Bakery Clerk (PT)

If you enjoy baked goods in a gourmet store environment, you will love our Bakery Clerk position! We have an immediate need for a PT Bakery Clerk in our Melville store.

Our Bakery Clerks create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Bakery Clerks should be friendly, greet and be courteous to customers and work with management and other associates to provide a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with our policies
• Keep floors clean and clear of debris and spills
• Greet all customers and provide them with prompt, courteous service and assistance
• Maintain and properly use all department equipment as indicated
• Rotate product to ensure freshness
• Ensure accurate signage for the department
• Prepare trays to our company’s standards and our customer’s satisfaction
• Other duties and functions as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability.
• Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language
