We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vehicle Ballistic Glass and Emergency Equipment Installer to join our growing team.


The Ballistic Glass Installer is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of ballistic glass in various settings, including but not limited to law enforcement vehicles, emergency response vehicles, and other vehicles that require enhanced security measures.


This role requires a strong understanding of security standards, exceptional manual dexterity, and the ability to work independently or as part of a specialized team.


Travel is required.

Operating Monday- Friday. Some weekend work may be applicable for large projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Accurately measure and assess existing openings for ballistic glass installations.
  • Prepare and modify frames, walls, and vehicle structures to accommodate ballistic glass systems.
  • Carefully handle, position, and install heavy ballistic glass panels using appropriate tools and lifting equipment.
  • Apply sealants and fasteners to ensure a secure and weather-tight installation that meets ballistic and structural integrity requirements.
  • Conduct rigorous quality checks and testing on installed glass to ensure compliance with UL 752 and other relevant safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during installation.
  • Collaborate effectively with managers and other team members.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Provide maintenance and repair services for existing ballistic glass installations as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Travel to various job sites, potentially up to 100% of the time, for extended periods.

  • Proven experience (e.g., 2-5 years) in ballistic / OEM glass installation experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and structural integrity for automotive applications.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, including glass cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision in all aspects of work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges on-site.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy materials (e.g., 35+ lbs daily).
  • Willingness to travel as required by project demands.

Working Conditions:

  • This role may require working in various environments, including indoor workshops and outdoor settings.
  • The job may involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
