Banquet Supervisor

As a Banquet Supervisor , you will oversee banquet events and ensure that every function reflects the high-quality standards and refined service that define the William Penn Inn. You’ll manage and support the banquet staff, act as a liaison between service and culinary teams, and ensure smooth and successful event execution from start to finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate communication and service flow between the kitchen and banquet floor staff.
• Supervise banquet staff and delegate responsibilities for each event.
• Review seating diagrams and event details for accuracy and feasibility.
• Ensure adherence to all employer policies, food service regulations, and health and safety standards.
• Inspect staff uniforms and overall presentation prior to each event.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the banquet floor, kitchen, and storage areas.
• Address and resolve guest concerns and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Prepare detailed reports and assist with billing and post-event summaries.
• Uphold the William Penn Inn’s culture of elegance, hospitality, and excellence.
• Step in as a server or bartender when needed.
• Must be available to work major holidays, including Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, New Year’s Eve, and Valentine’s Day.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Professional, courteous, and guest-focused demeanor.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Solid knowledge of food service, presentation, and event operations.
• Leadership ability with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina for standing long periods and lifting moderately heavy items.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to upholding the Inn’s high standards.
