Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee daily operations of our bar and beverage service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. The Bar Manager will play a key role in supervising team members, managing inventory, and ensuring the overall success of the bar operation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise bar staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, and ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure proper food preparation and handling in compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales processing.
  • Develop staff schedules to optimize coverage during peak hours while controlling labor costs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff for food production, catering events, banquets, or special functions.
  • Implement training programs to develop team skills in food service management, customer service, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor customer feedback to improve service quality and address any issues promptly.
  • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting related to bar operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management with a focus on bar operations; supervisory or assistant manager experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation, food safety standards, and beverage service including cocktail mixing and barista or coffee experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for cash handling and sales transactions.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively and manage team dynamics.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Experience in managing inventory control, budgeting, and cost analysis within a food or beverage setting.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment typical of casual dining or fine dining establishments.
  • Knowledge of food handling regulations and safety standards applicable to hospitality management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
