Barista

Job Summary
A Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to customers in a café or restaurant. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Prepare and Serve Beverages:
• Make espresso and espresso drinks, matchas, teas, and other beverages according to company recipes and customer preferences.
• Operate professional espresso machines, grinders.
• Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
• Offer product recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Handle complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
• Process transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Manage cash, credit, and mobile payments responsibly.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters, machines, and seating areas.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Refill supplies such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, and napkins.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a barista or in a café environment a must
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Basic math skills for handling cash and POS transactions
• Brew and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company recipes and customer preferences.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment.
• Knowledgeof POS is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
