Barista – Japanese-Inspired Café (Part-Time / Full-Time)

We are a premium Japanese-inspired café in Palo Alto focused on high-quality matcha drinks, sandos, and light food items. The environment is clean, calm, and guest-focused. We’re looking for someone reliable, friendly, and quick to learn.

Role Summary

The barista prepares matcha drinks, coffee, sandos, and supports smooth daily operations. This role requires consistency, attention to detail, and a positive attitude with both guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare matcha drinks, lattes, cold brew, and other café beverages
• Make sandos and light food items according to recipes
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and bar area
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service
• Handle POS transactions accurately
• Restock items, prep ingredients, and support opening/closing tasks
• Follow quality standards and uphold the café’s brand experience

Requirements

• Barista or café experience preferred but not required — we will train
• Able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service mindset
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with basic food prep
• Weekend availability is preferred
