Sr. Benefits & HRIS Analyst

Position Summary:

The Sr. Benefits & HRIS Analyst will lead the administration of employee benefit programs, vendor management, ensure legal compliance, analyzing trends, and serve as the point of contact for employees for benefits-related questions and complex benefits issues. The role will also manage, maintain, and optimize our HRIS system by ensuring data accuracy, configuring and troubleshooting the system, and generating reports to support HR processes and business decisions.

Essential Functions:

Benefits Administration

  • Administer all benefits programs to optimize cost and employee engagement.
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process, including communication and event coordination.
  • Administer retirement and employee stock purchase program (ESPP).
  • Act as a point of contact for external vendors and service providers and resolving issues.
  • Serve as the point of contact for answering benefit-related questions, including complex inquiries.
  • Investigate and resolve any benefits-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Administer leave of absences and reasonable accommodations.
  • Provide managers and HR Business Partner with clear, practical guidance on complex or sensitive leave and accommodation cases, ensuring they understand compliance requirements, company policy, and best practices for supporting employees.

HRIS, Reporting, and Analytics

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of HR data.
  • Develop processes for data entry and maintenance.
  • Develop and run reports and dashboards for various HR functions.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, identify opportunities for process improvement, provide strategic insights.
  • Analyze HR processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency; design and implement process changes and new system modules
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the HRIS; provide support, training, and documentation to HR staff and other users.
  • Manage HRIS-related projects, including the implementation of new systems or features, from scoping to rollout.
  • Conduct regular audits and staying current on legal changes.

Compliance

  • Ensure all benefits and HRIS operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with and adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate on policy development and strategic planning for total rewards programs.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, leave of absence administration, and HRIS.
  • Relevant professional certification such as Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or CEBS preferred.

Competencies/Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Understanding of core HR functions.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of benefits procedures, tax laws, and compliance regulations (i.e. FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL, ADA, COBRA, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork/collaboration/business partner mindset across departments and with external vendors.
  • Strong attention to detail, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency with HRIS software – experience with Paycor is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, data analysis, dashboards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards.

Compensation:

The projected annual salary is estimated at $90,000 - $110,000 per year, based on years of demonstrated experience, representing the span of the range. The actual compensation will be formulated by the client and may vary based on factors that include, but are not limited to, the position offered, work experience, education, training, and commensurate experience.
