The candidate should bring hands-on experience with multiple BI tools, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence analytics strategy across business teams.

Required Skills

  • Advanced experience in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server (or Tableau Online), and Tableau Prep for designing and building BI solutions.

  • Strong SQL skills: ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries in relational/cloud data warehouses.

  • Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehouses. (Snowflake expertise preferred.)

  • Proven background in BI development, translating business needs into technical design, and delivering production dashboards.

  • Deep understanding of data modelling, data blending, and data preparation techniques for visualization.

  • Expertise in performance tuning dashboards — workbook optimization, extract design, calculation optimization.

  • Good stakeholder management: ability to work with business users, product owners, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide feedback, and deliver solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills: explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, writing documentation, and conducting user training.

  • Experience in designing and enforcing data governance, data security, and access control in BI tools.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Certification in Tableau (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified, Tableau Server).

  • Familiarity with other BI or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker, ThoughtSpot)

  • Have working experience with one of the technologies like Cognos or ThoughtSpot

  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, R) for data manipulation, automation, or advanced analytics.

  • Experience in ETL/ELT tools or frameworks (e.g., dbt, Airflow) to support data-engineering collaboration.
